Archive collections of contemporary documentation

Archive collection is a complex of archival materials purposely created by the gathering activity without consideration on the archival materials author. This complex is band together with one or more signs – for instance the collection of photographs, the collection of posters or the collection of advertising materials.

According to the Act No. 499/2004 Coll. on archival science and record service and on changes of some acts are accessible only archival materials older then thirty years only from collections processed or partly processed, unprocessed archival materials are not accessible. Archival materials are accessible in research room of the department, details on accessibility of archival materials stored in the department are regulated by research rules of the department. 

Accessing of archival materials from collections of contemporary documentation - photographs, posters, advertising materials and lists of subtitles and dialogues - must be unconditionally discussed with the head of the department Mgr. In above mentioned collections of contemporary documentation are stored following materials:

Photographs - black-and-white and colour positive photographs from Czech feature and non-featured films, civil portraits of film actors and creators, selectively also photos from foreign films and portraits of foreign celebrities

Posters - posters of different sizes of Czech feature film works and selectively of foreign films screened in Czech distribution

Advertising materials - descriptions, leaflets, programme texts and other materials to Czech feature films and selectively to foreign films shown in the Czech distribution 

Lists of subtitles and dialogues – selectively extended written documents containing subtitles and dialogue translations of Czech feature films shown abroad
