The NFA Accreditation

The National Film Archive became on 25.2.2008 a full and accredited specialized archive with all rights and duties of its important position as result from the law No. 499/2004 Coll., on archives and record service and on amendment of some laws.

The EU project EFG – the European Film Gateway created a web portal that gives you quick and easy on-line access to currently about 400 000 digital objects – photos, posters, text documents, newsreels, feature films and documentaries – from collections of 16 European film archives and cinémathèques. One of them is Národní filmový archiv. By September 2011, the number of objects will increase to 600 000. See www.europeanfilmgateway.eu
